    Marysville, Washington

    The planned 11.9-mile leg continues through the Marysville area to Kruse Junction. Railways and timber helped shape the city through which this stage passes.

    Day 6 is planned as 12 miles to Arlington. River travel, the railway and the Centennial Trail each leave a different layer in the town’s history.

    The planned 15.1-mile stage ends at Bertelsen Winery on Starbird Road. The family-owned winery opened in 2014 on a hillside in southern Skagit County.

    Downtown Mount Vernon, on the Skagit River

    The second planned Awareness Day remains in Mount Vernon. It carries no planned route miles and offers a place in the itinerary to distinguish registration from donation.
