    Washington

    The first 7.7 planned walking miles lead from Seattle to Ridgecrest, Shoreline. Its school and movie theater followed the neighborhood’s rapid growth in the 1940s.

    Martha Lake Park, Snohomish County, Washington

    Day 2 is planned to end at Martha Lake after 10.3 miles. The county park preserves a shoreline that local residents wanted kept in public use.

    Bone Marrow Awareness Day — Everett

    Downtown Everett, Washington

    Day 4 is the first of ten planned Bone Marrow Awareness Days. The itinerary pauses its walking miles in Everett before continuing toward the Stillaguamish and Skagit valleys.
