Our Nonprofit Status
The Jada Bascom Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. This means your donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Making a Donation
All donations to the Jada Bascom Foundation are voluntary gifts made to support our mission of raising awareness about bone marrow donation. We accept donations through our secure online platform, GiveButter.
When you donate, you are giving freely without the expectation of receiving goods or services in return. Your generosity directly supports:
- Tissue typing costs for potential donors
- Educational materials for schools and communities
- Registration drive supplies and outreach efforts
- Awareness campaigns to find matching donors
Tax-Deductibility
Donations to the Jada Bascom Foundation are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. However, we are not tax advisors. We encourage you to consult with a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of your specific donation.
We do not provide goods or services in exchange for donations, so the full amount of your gift is typically considered a charitable contribution.
Donation Receipts
You will receive an email receipt from GiveButter immediately after your donation is processed. This receipt includes:
- The date and amount of your donation
- Our organization name and nonprofit status
- A statement confirming no goods or services were provided
If you need a duplicate receipt, a year-end giving statement, or have questions about a past donation, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
Refund Policy
Because donations are voluntary charitable gifts, we generally do not issue refunds. Once your donation is processed, it is put to work supporting our mission.
However, we understand that mistakes happen. If you believe a donation was made in error (for example, a duplicate charge or incorrect amount), please contact us within 30 days of the donation date. We will review your request and work with you to resolve the issue.
Refund requests can be submitted by emailing us or using our contact form. Please include:
- Your name and email address used for the donation
- The date and amount of the donation
- The reason for your refund request
Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation and wish to modify or cancel it, you can do so through GiveButter using the link provided in your confirmation emails. You may also contact us and we will assist you with making changes to your recurring gift.
Privacy and Security
We take your privacy seriously. Donation information is processed securely through GiveButter and is subject to their privacy and security policies. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
