The park’s scale is part of its character. Compared with the long fjord around it, this is a short stretch of publicly managed shore. It belongs to the series of water-facing places in the Hood Canal chapter, each with its own arrangements for access and use.
The itinerary assigns 7.1 planned walking miles from Brinnon, then 12.7 miles onward to Lilliwaup. The two stages continue along the canal’s western side toward Potlatch and the Great Bend.
