Is there a bone marrow registry in Niger?

For people who live in Niger. Live somewhere else? Find your country.

As of , we haven’t found enough to verify a way to join from Niger yet. That doesn’t mean there isn’t one. In December 2015 a member of France’s National Assembly wrote that a registry had recently been forming in Niger, but no source from Niger, no WMDA record and no later report we found confirms it. 12

Can people in Niger join a registry abroad?

France’s registry, checked on Oct 11, 2026, takes people living abroad only if they plan to move back to France, and they must give a French address for the saliva kit, so people who live in Niger can’t join it. 3

South Africa’s two registries take only people who live in South Africa: on Oct 11, 2026, DKMS Africa’s form asked first whether you live there, and SABMR excluded anyone not living there, so people in Niger can’t join either from home. 1 2

Has Niger announced a registry or a law?

The French deputy’s written question, published on Dec 8, 2015, said Africa had one registry, in South Africa, with two recently forming in Ghana and Niger, and asked how France would encourage more diverse donors to join its own registry. 12
