Who can join in Thailand?

The Thai Red Cross said in September 2025 that more than 3,400 people with blood diseases in Thailand were waiting for a stem cell transplant. 4
What happens after I join?
The Thai registry’s FAQ says your details stay on file until age 60, when they are removed automatically, and that you can change your mind at any time. 7
The Thai registry’s FAQ says it removes a volunteer’s record if they get an infection that can pass through blood, or if National Blood Centre staff can’t reach them when they match a patient, so it asks volunteers to report any new phone number or address. 7
In June 2024 the Thai Red Cross asked stem cell volunteers who registered from 2002 to 2022 and were 18 to 58 to update their contact details, by phone with registry staff or through the National Blood Centre’s LINE account, @nbctrc. 9
