The Marrow Walk Live: Launch Day, Seattle

The walk starts in the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center corridor, where E. Donnall Thomas developed bone marrow transplantation — work that earned the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1990.

From here it runs roughly 231 miles north to Victoria, British Columbia, over about 20 days, on foot the whole way except two ferry crossings and one pedestrian border crossing at the Peace Arch.
